On May 8, 2017, when attending OTC under the leadership of Mr. Shuai Qiang (Deputy General Manager of Hongyuan) and Mr. He Wei (Manager of Beijing Branch), the delegation joined the Chinese American Petroleum Association (CAPA) as a sponsor and was invited to the welcome dinner held by CAPA.

Nearly 300 people, including Mr. Shuai Qiang, Mr. He Wei and members of the delegation together with the OTC exhibitors (including the delegations of CNPC, SINOPEC, CNOOC and Opicoil of Taiwan), attended the welcome dinner held by CAPA. During the dinner, Mr. Shuai Qiang, Deputy General Manager of our company, delivered a speech on joining the association on behalf of Hongyuan. A happy and pleasant evening was spent while conducting exchanges with the experts, scholars and colleagues specialized in petroleum and petrochemical industries from both sides of the Straight.

CAPA is one of the most historical and conventional professional associations in North America. It was initiated by Yao Fengbei from Taiwan and other people in the petroleum and petrochemical circles in 1984, and it expanded later thanks to the enrollment of lots of petroleum and petrochemical experts from the mainland. All CAPA members were working at respective major petroleum companies. Since the foundation of the association, the members have been getting along, being on very intimate terms and jointly studied the professional issues regarding petroleum and petrochemical industries. The association has bridged between both sides of the Taiwan Straights and the petroleum community of North America by means of exchange and communication.
